About me

Hi, I'm Cody! A UX/UI designer focused on simplifying complex problems and creating seamless digital experiences.

I have 9 years of design experience, starting my career as a digital designer, where I built a strong foundation in visual design and creative problem-solving. Three years ago, I transitioned into a dedicated UX/UI role, allowing me to focus on what I truly get excited about: improving digital products through thoughtful design, user feedback, and data-driven insights.

At Civic FCU, I work as a UX/UI Designer focused on enhancing digital experiences across our websites, mobile app, and application workflows. I'm energized by solving complex problems through design thinking and love turning real user needs into intuitive, impactful interfaces.

I'm always looking to learn, grow, and design with purpose.

Beyond the designer

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio to a working-class family. I moved down to North Carolina in 2013, where I got my BFA in Graphic Design from the Art Institutes.

In the midst of 2020, I married my high school sweetheart Megan, and we now live in Durham, NC. In 2024 I achieved my proudest accomplishment, becoming a dad to our son, Rowen.

In my free time I love to cook, watch sports, and explore new places.
